Had a quick walk round the Whangie this evening, dramatic low clouds and shafts of sunlight. A couple of Ravens in attendance along with an owl, some larks and grouse.

Lovely bright, if rather cold for the end of April Day.
The Glen Douglas Hills are another set that are pretty quiet. The more glamorous and high Arrochar Alps are a lot busier.
Saw quite a few red deer, a long way out, and a hill fox. Although I could see city foxes where I live most evenings it is still exciting to see a country one.
Started up Beinn Bhreac, walked along to Ben Reoch, don into An tSreang and then up over Tulloch hill and back down to the road.

Glen Findlas is one of mt favourite places t ogo for a walk. It is only 30 minutes drive from Glasgow. One of the Glens on the west side of Loch Lomond the surrounding hills are not as high as the Munros a little to the north but it is considerably quieter. I didn't see anyone else in 6 hours today. I did see 15-20 Red Deer, some ravens and skylarks.
The forecast was for showers and it looked that way early on. The rain never came and the sun almost broke through in the afternoon.

I went out from the bottom of Loch Lubnaig, up Stank glen and out to Benvane, returning via Ben Ledi.
Mixed weather with some heavy showers but some nice views popping out.
