John’s posterous

Hi John,

I've been playing around with this too. I read about the multiple copy and paste technique and was thinking, as you were, that this is a nice way to do an audio postcard. I like Audioboo, but also like to keep my stuff on my sites if at all possible.

I noticed in your blog post yesterday that you were able to get the geo data from the photos to show up in your posterous post as a map link. When I tried mine, ( http://timlauer.posterous.com/audio-postcard-walking-in-the-lewis-garden-0 ) this did not work. Was wondering if there is anything you did to get this to show up.

Also, wanted to say I enjoy your posts and your tours. Nice work.

Great minds think alike;-) I'd not seen your post, I don't think posterous's subscriptions are working for me, I need to add some of the ones I subscribe to to another reader.
Like you I like to keep stuff close, but posterous is so elegant it is hard to resist and a perfect fit for the iphone.
I downloaded one of your photos and the gps seems to be there in the exif data. It might be an idea to mail the posterous guys, they have always got right back to me with any problems I've had.

I found the problem. It is a setting under Manage. I unchecked it and now the location data shows up. Am thinking I might also use this as an end of day journal with a private posterous site... Lots of possibilities. Thanks...
